Got hurt at work now everything is bad

I have lost everything three times in my life now.  I do not think I can handle it again.  I was young and stupid the first time.  The second time I was being abused and just left everything and built my life up again.  The third time I was messed over a bit by my most recent ex boyfriend.  This time I worked really hard to get my own apartment and the first new car I have ever owned.  I had a good job untill last Tuesday.  I also am a full time student.  I got hurt at work due to a safety violation by the company.  Now my wrist has three different tendon problems, and I have to wear a brace.  I got fired essentially because I got hurt at work.  Now I am facing losing everything.  My rent is due on the 5th and I have $36 in the bank.  Rent is $475.  I would have been able to cover it, except I was off work due to bronchitis for 8 days last month.  I was off work for 6 days because of my wrist this month.  Work fired me for attendence related issues because of the 6 days off for my wrist.  I am planning on giving up my apartment after this month if my old job denies me worker's comp benefits which they are trying to do right now.  I also applied for unemployment benefits but that takes time as well.  I have found a temporary home for my cats and a friend is going to help as much as he can with my car payments and insurance.  I just need help with rent untill I can get my things moved out and break my lease with at least a little notice.  As soon as my wrist gets better I will have no trouble finding a job and repaying all who have helped me.  Hopefully there is someone out there who will be able to help me.  I should have plenty of good karma built up from last fall when I was able to help others.
